The world of Dragon Ball is filled with a vast number of races, but none are more bizarre and eclectic than the Namekians. The alien race possesses many amazing abilities, ranging fusion and telepathy to regenerating limbs.

Being known for only creating the dragon balls, the warrior clan of Namekians often gets overlooked. That's right folks, contrary to popular belief, the Saiyan's aren't the only warrior race inDragon Ball. The Namakekian race encompasses many warriors. Most have been heroes and some have been villains. One, as a matter of fact, made a transition from being a villain to being one of the primary protagonists.

Cymbal is King Piccolo's third son and was specifically created to find the dragon balls. Albeit he is not that strong he still is a little of a threat. He possesses the ability to fire an electric shock wave, which is lethal.

The samurai, Yajirobe, learned quickly what this Mutant-Namekian can do since he was the only one that fought him. The fight didn't last long because Yajirobe was able to evade is electric shock wave attack and cut him, ending his life.

The next entry on our list is Drum, King Piccolo's 4th son. He is known to be one of King Piccolos' strongest sons. For example, Drum was able to overpower Tien Shinhan and that's no easy feat because Tien was once considered to be one of the strongest earthlings, during that time period.

In addition, Tien was the martial arts champion that same year, defeating Goku in the finals of the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament. This further showcases how much strength the Mutant-Namek possesses. He's still not that strong, due to the fact of how quickly Goku made light work of him.

Aside from Piccolo Jr, Tambourine is King Piccolo's strongest son, so he claims. Tambourine managed to defeat Krillin with ease, in fact, he murdered him. Tambourine also defeated/murdered other skilled martial artists as well, such as Girin, Pamput, King Chappa, Bacterien, and Man-Wolf.

Even Goku had a difficult time with Tambourine. After the death of Krillin, Goku set out to avenge his best friend, but to no avail. Due to fatigue from his previous fight with Tien at the Martial Arts Tournament, which he lost, Goku just simply could not compete with Tambourine's power. He did defeat him in a later episode, however.

The former guardian of the earth and another half of King Piccolo, Kami, valiant strength often gets overlooked. He trains Goku for three years on the lookout. In that timeframe, the Saiyan's strength increased immensely, which further exemplifies how skilled of a fighter the Namekian is. Moreover, many fans also seem to forget he participated in 23 Martial Arts tournament and got far, to boot. He defeated two talented martial artists, Yajirobe and Yamcha, with ease. He ends up losing to Piccolo Jr, unfortunately.

The notorious villain and another half of Kami, King Piccolo is one of the most dangerous and powerful Nameks on this list. At one point, King Piccolo was so powerful, Master Roshi's teacher, Mutaito had to seal him in an Electric Rice Cooker, with a technique known as the Evil Containment Wave.

Once free, old and slightly feeble, he orchestrated a plan that no one can seal him away again by killing off all martial artists around the world. He also wanted together all the dragon balls so he could wish for his more young and powerful body. After he granted his wish it was claimed he was powerful enough to decimate an entire part of the planet. He's no Frieza, but that's still a lot of power for someone to have.

During the time of Frieza's tyranny on Namik, Nail was the strongest Namekien on the planet. The stoic Namekian was able to hold off Frieza for an extended amount of time, while Dende escaped so he can give the password for the Namekian dragon balls to Gohan and Krillin. Furthermore, Nail was also distracting Frieza to keep him from killing the Elder Guru. The fact that he was able to hold his own against Frieza, speaks volumes of Nails power level. Once Frieza caught on to his plan, he struck him down. After being wished back to life and transported to Namek, Piccolo found a near-death Nail lying on the ground. Because of Nails' immense strength, he asked Piccolo if he would fuse with him and piccolo did just that. As a result of the fusion, Piccolo became a Super Namekian.

In the film Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug, the evil Namekian was considered to be a Super Namekian, which means that he is on par with that of a Super Saiyan. As a matter of fact, around that time period, Slug was one of the only Nameks to hold the title of Super Namekian. This further ensures he was indeed the strongest Namekian at one point.

Furthermore, after being eternal youth as a result of gathering the dragon balls, Lord Slug now possessed the ability to increase in size also known as a Great Namekian. His power is augmented when he undergoes this transformation. Despite his various abilities, Goku does eventually take him down, in his Pseudo Super Saiyan form.

Given the fact he participated in the Tournament of Power, proves how powerful this Namek is. Universe 6's Pirina gave Piccolo Jr, Gohan, and even Goku a run for their money. Pirina's mouth beam was so powerful that it was able to match Ultimate Gohan's Ultimate Kamehameha. Prior to the Tournament of Power, both Namekians fused with several other Namekians to attain as much power as they possibly could. This resulted in them becoming Super Namekians.

Saonel is another Namekian that derives from Universe 6. Just like his other teammate, Pirina, Saonel fused with many Namekians, prior to the tournament, also becoming Super Namekian. Saonel was so strong that he was able to withstand being caught between Pirinas mouth beam and Ultimate Gohan's Ultimate Kamehameha. It is believed that Saonel is slightly stronger than Pirina due to the fact, it took him some time to get used to the power he had just attained.

The last son of King Piccolo has proved time and time again he can stand with the best of them. Once Goku's enemy now his greatest ally, Piccolo managed to become a Super Namekian after fusing Nail on Namik. Furthermore, his strength escalated to even greater heights when he fused with Kami. While as a Super Namek, he was able to hold his own against Freiza and Cell, respectively, and these are two of the deadliest characters in the franchise.

He was able to take down the two other Super Namikians, with the help of Gohan, during the Tournament of Power. Piccolo only fused with two Namekians and he was still strong enough to compete with Soanel and Pirina who fused with several. There is no other Namekian quite like Piccolo.
